C. Scott Hagler has set this early 15th-century text to a jaunty, original tune for a cappella SATB choir. There is consensus that the lyrics date from the reign of Henry V of England (1387–1422). The pronunciation of the macaronic text (mixing two or more languages together) is by Gordon Thomas.

"I Was Glad When They Said unto Me," by C. Hubert H. Parry, with text from Psalm 122, is one of my all-time favorite choral anthems. Parry's original, is a tough piece for singers and requires sizable numbers of singers. I have edited the piece to make it more accessible for choirs with more modest resources. I lowered the piece by a half-step, consolidated the double-choir section and removed the royalty page

These pieces are appropriate for educational and concert settings. Two of the four pieces are by Robert Burns, and the set would make a great addition to a Burns Supper.
